Pretty woeful
Three or four different styles of commercials in about a dozen variations each fill this hour-long video. The commercials themselves must have been a failure. I can't see that they would have worked as commercials even back in the 1960s. Compared to the Alpine commercials from the late 1950s (
http://archive.org/details/tobacco_ujq74e00), they are dull and uninteresting in all aspects: voice over, subject matter, jingle.
Good quality video and audio, but the actual commercials fall flat.

I detest smoking...
...but these ads are things of beauty. I remember them from when I was a kid in the '60s. My favorite scene is at the cocktail party where the two intellectuals are in each others faces, and the one keeps grazing his cigarette through the other guy's beard.
The magic of these ads, the backbone that holds them all together, is the siren-sung melody that plays in the background. It's what made me love the ads way back when, and why I still love them. Marketing experts know their stuff, which is why consumers should always be on top of their own game and be worthy opponents.

Who could forget that theme music?
Here we have one hour's worth of cigarette mishaps, cut up cigarettes, and cigarettes caught in elevator doors all to that incredible, sophisticated jingle music. In what's considered the golden age of advertising, this haunting jingle surely is one of the highest points.
Ironically, in many of the first commercials here, when the narrator says "in new King size", it sounds like he's saying "in new TEEN size"! Hmmm.... I wonder if they did that on purpose?
